What is E-xode: ROM?

Deep-space command, in real time.

Humanity's exodus across the stars has scattered survivors across the Ethereal Expanse. You command from the bridge of a capital ship — one voice among thousands in a galaxy that keeps moving whether you are online or not. No install. No waiting. Just orders.

Real-time command

Every order you give executes in a shared, live galaxy. Other commanders are moving, mining, and fighting in the same space — right now.

A galaxy with depth

Regions, systems, and sectors form a layered map filled with asteroid belts, gates, planets, and stations — each with its own resources, factions, and dangers.

Build and command fleets

Assemble ships into fleets, assign orders, and coordinate strikes or extraction runs across multiple sectors simultaneously.

Forge your commander

Grow your commander through levels and completed contracts. Every mission earned and every battle won shapes your record.

No install

No download, no client, no patch cycle. Your command bridge runs entirely in the browser — ready whenever you are.

Computed in real time

Every five seconds the engine steps the whole galaxy forward through twelve phases at once. Give an order and it plays out over the ticks that follow — some resolve instantly, most unfold beat by beat.

In real time

A ship crosses one sector per tick and pulls a unit of ore out of a belt every three ticks. Combat trades blows and shields regenerate every beat. Belts refill, patrols sweep, ambushes strike, and new threats spawn — watching or not.

Instant

Buying and selling at a station, loading and unloading cargo, docking a delivery or pickup, accepting or cancelling a contract, and grouping your fleets resolve the instant you act — no tick to wait out.

One living galaxy

A persistent, generated galaxy keeps turning whether you are logged in or not, across three fully independent universes — MMO, PvP, and Tournament. New commanders start safe in the fully-secured Ethereal Expanse, where danger is still far from the black holes and magnetars.

Peoples & powers

Three commander races answer the exodus call: Human fleets running on discipline forged in the void, the Dralvok who hunt, strike, and dominate behind jagged war-plate, and the Khareth, an elder race patient enough to have outlasted empires. Two rival powers contest the space between them — the Nexus Protectorate holding the line for lawful space, and the Crimson Corsairs, who claim the frontier belongs to whoever takes it. Meet them all in the Codex.

Choose your hull

Every commander starts in a mining tug and earns credits toward escorts, haulers, glass cannons, and tanks. No hull buys a pay-to-win edge — only a different job on the fleet.

Starter mining tug

Starter mining tug

Hull 15, shield 5, zero firepower, cargo 10 — the fleet's only starter hull. It mines ore; it does not fight back.
Heavy hauler

Heavy hauler

Hull 30, shield 8, cargo 60, zero guns — the freight workhorse of the fleet. Huge hold, no teeth of its own.
Balanced escort

Balanced escort

Hull 20, shield 8, fire 4 — the fleet's first real gun. Balanced across the board, built to hold a line.
Glass cannon

Glass cannon

Fire 6, the fleet's hardest hitter, but hull 13 and shield 4 — the thinnest skin in the fleet. Strike first.
Tank and anchor

Tank and anchor

Hull 26, shield 16, and the fastest shield regen in the fleet — the wall a fleet forms around.

Five hulls shown here — the Codex catalogs all eight, including the advanced Kibby II miner, the budget Vessik hauler, and the heavy Torvan.

Learn the ropes

Three skills carry a new commander through their first hours: movement across the sector grid, mining the belts for ore, and combat when a hostile blocks the lane. First Steps walks through all three, one order at a time.
