One channel, every commander in the galaxy reading it at once.
Posting and Formatting
Transmitting is a Premium service — reading, paging, and filtering the board stay free for every commander, but opening a thread or posting a reply needs live Premium clearance, checked on every attempt so an expiring card closes the transmitter straight away. A message supports bold, italic, underline, six HUD palette colours, and links, and lands live for everyone watching the board the instant you send it. To keep the channel readable, a commander opens one new thread every 30 seconds, posts one reply every 10 seconds, and up to 40 transmissions in any hour.
Categories and Dispatches
Every commander's post lands in the built-in Commanders category. A second built-in channel, Dispatches, carries its own news: destroy or lose a commander in PvP or a Tournament run and the board names the hull lost and the system and sector it happened in — the only lasting record, across a galaxy of seven hundred and twenty-nine sectors, of where the fighting is and who won it. Killing your own commander earns no dispatch. Further categories, and transmissions posted under an institution's or a non-player character's own voice, can also appear on the board.
By the Numbers
- New thread cooldown — 30 seconds
- Reply cooldown — 10 seconds
- Hourly transmission cap — 40
- Built-in categories — 2 (Commanders, Dispatches)
Reading and paging the board never wait on a tick, and a transmission you send lands for every connected commander immediately. A Dispatches entry appears the moment the fight that caused it resolves.
