Kibby II

The Kibby II is the mining line's frontier upgrade — the same unarmed extraction role as the starter Kibby, but with three times the cargo, twice the hull, and an extraction cadence cut from the standard three ticks to two. It is still built for open belts, not open combat: zero firepower, same as the hull it replaces.

Specifications

  • Firepower — 0. Like the Kibby, it carries no weapons.
  • Cargo hold — 30 units, three times the starter Kibby's 10.
  • Shield — 12.
  • Hull — 30, twice the starter Kibby's 15.
  • Shield regeneration — 3, the fleet's second-fastest after the Korrun.
  • Mining — yes, extracting one unit every two ticks instead of the standard three — the fleet's fastest miner.

Role in the fleet

At 1200 credits, the Kibby II costs twelve times its predecessor, and every stat justifies the jump: more hold to carry home before a run ends, more hull and shield to survive the trip, and a faster extraction cycle that turns time on a belt into more ore per commander-hour. See Extraction for how the mining cadence works, and Kibby for the hull it replaces.

The stat that matters most for a mining hull is not survivability, it's ore per tick. The Kibby II wins that race outright.
