Crimson Sector

Crimson Sector is the region beyond Phoenix Terminus, the ground the Crimson Corsairs held first and most completely, once the Closing of the Doors pushed them out of the Ethereal Expanse for good. It gave the Corsairs their name. It has never fully given them up.

Reclaimed Ground

Two lawful stations stand here today — Redrock Anchorage, one jump past the hot door, and Carmine Bazaar, further in — both human-run, both fully stocked, both proof that ground the Corsairs once held outright now answers to a different authority. This is not the deep dark. It is the frontier that came before it: contested once, garrisoned now.

A Holdout, Not a Den

Crimson Sector still carries more raiders than the safety of its lawful stations might suggest. The Crimson Skiff Raider — a light, fast elite and most green commanders' first real fight — is anchored one jump outside Phoenix Terminus, and ambient raiders still work these approaches. None of it amounts to a den; the Corsairs' permanent strongholds sit much further out now, all the way to the Outer Periphery. This is simply old ground they have never quite let go of.

Where the Name Comes From

Before the Closing, this region was nowhere in particular. After it, it was the first thing the retreating raiders called their own — close enough to the door they had just lost to still feel like a foothold, not yet the deep dark they would eventually be pushed into. Crimson Corsairs is not a coincidence of naming. It is this sector's name, worn as a banner by the people who were here first.
