The Brazen Tollmaster is a Crimson Corsair who answers to no den. Brazen Cradle, the system he holds in the Binary Provinces, carries no Corsair station of its own — so rather than shelter under Rustjaw Den or Broken Fang Hold, the Tollmaster runs his own independent toll racket, an ex-debtor turned self-made lord of the lane he controls.

The debtor who succeeded
Human, like the Rustjaw Chancer and the Auric Prowler, the Tollmaster is the ladder's third human voice — and the direct escalation of the Chancer's own failed arc. Still a record-keeper at heart, he never stopped keeping a ledger; he simply made it his own, illegal one, tribute paid to him rather than to any Den. Unlike the Cinder Enforcer, co-located with Rustjaw Den, or the Voidglass Sovereign, sharing Solace Verge with the Last Lantern, the Tollmaster's independence from any Corsair institution is itself the point: some who tip over the Corsairs' way never join one at all.
Binary Provinces, security 3
Brazen Cradle sits at security 3, tied with Cinder Spur as one of the three voidglass-bearing regions the Nexus Protectorate cannot reach. He flies a Novik and now carries the same reinforced plating and heavier shielding the Cinder Enforcer and the Voidglass Sovereign train into their own defense — he hits exactly as hard as before, he simply stays standing longer.
Every toll the Tollmaster levies is a debt paid forward, one he never has to answer for at any Den.
