Vela is the shipboard AI who meets every new commander at the start of their first training contract — not a station clerk, not a single fixed voice behind one counter, but an assistant instanced on every ship in a fleet, ready wherever a pilot happens to be. She is the Wayfarer Concordat's day-to-day presence: the licensing body writes the curriculum, and Vela is the one who actually puts it in front of a commander, run by run.

The Rustjaw Chancer is a debt-ridden opportunist out of the Crimson Corsairs, who slipped alone out of Rustjaw Den hoping to pick off a lone straggler in Wraith Halo and pay down what he owes the Den before anyone there notices he is gone. He is no captain and commands no crew — a minor figure the Wayfarer Concordat's own instructors have long since flagged as the safest real fight a new commander will ever draw.

The Ledgerbleed Skulker is a Crimson Corsair who never draws on the ledger he raids. Where most reavers take a hold by force, this Khareth forger works from inside the Void Dominion's own paperwork, diverting and falsifying the manifests its registrars seal rather than boarding a hull outright. He holds Marrow Reach, the safest system on the reaver ladder's whole nine-elite roster, and the mildest of its threats.

The Auric Prowler is a Crimson Corsair with no creed and no debt — an opportunist who found a black hole and built an ambush around it. He hunts out of Auric Maw, at the heart of the Nebular Territories, where the system's own gravitational lensing bends light and sensors alike, letting a raider close on a target before it ever reads as a threat.

The Boreal Marauder is a Crimson Corsair ideologue who camps the Stellar Frontier's shipping lanes near Frontier Bastion, the region's only lawful station — not to avoid a fight, but to prove the Corsair creed on the lawful order's own doorstep. Where most reavers work the deep dark because lawful eyes cannot follow, the Marauder chooses to raid in plain sight of the one garrison that could answer.

The Onyx Claimjumper is a Crimson Corsair who diverts convoys belonging to the Astral Consortium and resells the stolen extraction concessions on his own terms. He holds Onyx Halo, in the Astral Consortium region, and his method mirrors the Ledgerbleed Skulker's at the far end of the ladder: corrupt the order's own extraction apparatus rather than raid it head-on.

The Cinder Enforcer is a Crimson Corsair who stayed. He holds Cinder Spur, the very system where Rustjaw Den shelters its own — the same den the Rustjaw Chancer slipped out of alone, hoping to pay down his debt before anyone noticed he was gone. The Enforcer is the direct counter-image: where the Chancer fled the quay, the Enforcer holds it.

The Brazen Tollmaster is a Crimson Corsair who answers to no den. Brazen Cradle, the system he holds in the Binary Provinces, carries no Corsair station of its own — so rather than shelter under Rustjaw Den or Broken Fang Hold, the Tollmaster runs his own independent toll racket, an ex-debtor turned self-made lord of the lane he controls.

The Voidglass Sovereign reigns over the richest ore field in the galaxy from Solace Verge, in the Outer Periphery — the deepest system on the reaver ladder, in the shadow of the Last Lantern, the Crimson Corsairs' own farthest and most self-governing court. Voidglass, the mineral value ladder's top rung, exists only where the Nexus Protectorate's presence-based authority cannot follow — and the Sovereign rules the deepest of the three regions where that is true.

The Crimson Skiff Raider is the Crimson Corsairs' most visible elite, parked one jump outside the Nexus Protectorate's hottest door at Ferrous Cradle, in the Crimson Sector — sharing the sector with the lawful Redrock Anchorage, the line drawn outside the wall rather than at it. He is usually a new commander's first taste of real combat, the target of the standing, repeatable First Blood bounty every fresh pilot eventually takes.

Warden Kael is the Nexus Protectorate's elite guardian, anchored at Helios Nexus — the Ethereal Expanse's only pulsar, its starter system, and the sector every new commander begins in. He embodies the Protectorate's doctrine literally: he never patrols and never moves, because "the line does not move" is not a slogan here, it is simply where he is, every time anyone looks.
